Emeli Sande - Next to Me
John Legend - Tonight (Best You Ever Had) feat. Ludacris
The Backbeats - Landslide
Landslide has always been and will always be my all time favorite song. I’m usually pretty skeptical when it comes to covers of the song, but this one is to amazing to dislike. The arpeggios in the beginning are perfect and the harmonies towards the end are lush. Hearing this song done acapella definitely adds a different dimension.
Splender - I Think God Can Explain
For some reason I’ve always enjoyed this groups music. Splender released two studio albums, 1999’s “Halfway Down the Sky” and 2002’s “To Whom It May Concern.”
Panic! At The Disco - Trade Mistakes
The Backbeats - Uncharted (feat. Sara Bareilles)
The Backbeats - Uncharted (OPB: Sara Bareilles)
Solo: THE ONE AND ONLY SARA BAREILLES!!!!
From Second Runner Up of The Sing-Off Season 2 The Backbeats’ album “The Backbeats (From The Sing-Off) featuring Season 3 Judge Sara Bareilles herself
The Backbeats - Turning Tables
This is a nice arrangement.
NE-YO - POT OF GOLD | NEW MUSIC
If this is sounding familiar, the hook is from Game’s latest single featuring Chris Brown that goes by the same name.
A lot of songs, especially in America, are passed between artists who all record their own versions before one of them manages to seal the rights to release it and it appears that has been the case with this song.
The hook was written by an very appropriately named songwriter, Sam Hook, who is signed to Ne-Yo’s Compound label so it would make sense for him to record a version and it also features a mystery female singer on the verses.
In my opinion, Pot Of Gold is probably the best all round R&B/hip-hop chorus on any track released this year but the production and Game’s verses just didn’t do it justice. This version is a whole load better and if it were to be released, then it could easily be a top 5 hit in the UK and I’m sure it would be successful in America too.
Everything Ne-Yo touches turns to gold, even his unreleased leaked material is top quality which is more than you can say for the majority of artists and this track is no exception!
